Diego Maynard, a 12th-grader at Whittier California High, won the Division 2 boys senior 3-mile race in 15:48.4 at the 48th Dana Hills Nike Invitational at Dana Hills High in Dana Point. Maynard contributed to California securing the team victory by a 60-99 margin over Peninsula High.
